About Principal Anton Horton

Anton Horton brings a wealth of experience and passion for education to University Prep Art & Design High School. As Principal, Mr. Horton leads with a focus on cultivating a creative, academically rigorous, and culturally responsive environment. Scholars at UPAD High School are educated in a state-of-the-art facility within the College for Creative Studies Taubman Center for Design Education, where they are encouraged to explore their artistic talents while excelling academically.

Under Mr. Horton’s leadership, the high school emphasizes small class sizes, personalized learning, and a strong focus on the social-emotional well-being of every scholar. A key component of the UPAD experience is the Senior Mastery Process, which helps scholars engage in self-discovery and prepare for their future career goals.
